A little more about me...
I like to wake up early. Not too early, but early enough, to have a minute of morning light; to experience the stillness that occurs before the rest of the world wakes up. I have a cup of coffee, make breakfast and feed my dog. I think about what I am grateful for, promise myself I will try my best and then I start my day.
I am driven and persistent. I believe in the importance of authenticity, even when it entails discomfort. I work with compassion, empathy, and acceptance. I am fascinated by patterns, and seek to understand why people act the way they do. I listen, I hear, and I understand where gaps exist. I find courage to challenge these gaps, attempting to break down barriers that individuals face to wellness.
I am proud to be entering into a field that demands solutions from myself and my peers. We discover and create our own meanings from our experiences. Moving forward, I hope to use my expertise to shape new discussions around health. I want to challenge institutionalized norms that objectify individuals based on their bodies to create a more inclusive approach to wellness. This approach will value every aspect of being, for all individuals. I can only hope I will lead work that creates connections and inspires courage.
In my free time I love to be outside, and spend time with my dog, Abeline.
Fill your being with wellbeing.
